MEET THE TEAM
Dr. David Goodman grew up in Rochester, NY before relocating to the Washington, DC where he attended American University. He immediately fell in love with the DC metro area, specifically Damascus, MD and decided to make it his home.
After working as an associate veterinarian in various veterinary hospitals, Dr. Goodman established Four County Animal Hospital in 1983. Over the years, the positive feedback and expressions of satisfaction which Dr. Goodman and his staff have received from clients has made his work all the more rewarding and worthwhile.
Aside from his veterinary profession, Dr. Goodman maintains active membership in the Damascus Rotary Club and the Howard County Hunt Club. His hobbies include horseback riding, playing the piano and spending time with his family. He is the proud owner of two yellow labs, Zoe and Sadie, two cats, Frankie and MJ and several horses.
Dr. Dee Dee Allison joined Four County Animal Hospital in 1999 and has since made it her home. Dr. Allison brings a wealth of experience as a general practitioner and is a great complement to Dr. Goodman.
Dr. Allison and her husband, Tom, are the proud parents of two twin girls, Abbie and Sophie and one boy, Ben. She also has three cats: Eliot, Azzie and Einstein. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, teaching Sunday school and spending time with her kids.
Carol is not only the Hospital Manager, but also the wife of Dr. Goodman. Together they opened the hospital back in 1983 and she has worked here since, ensuring the happiness of all clients. She is the proud mother of one daughter, Taryn. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, exercising, reading and spending time with her family.
Barb joined Four County Animal Hospital in 1999. She is the mother to three cats: Sunny, Hope and Emma. In her spare time she enjoys tending to her garden.
Carla made Four County Animal Hospital her home in 2004. She is the proud mother of two cats and one bunny. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music and camping.
Lauren first started working at Four County Animal Hospital as a high school intern in 2005 and decided to join full-time post graduation. She has two cats and enjoys movies, music and school in her free time.
Laurie worked at Four County Animal Hospital in the late nineties and left, only to return again in 2005. She has seven cats, two dogs and two birds. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys reading, biking, painting, drawing and music.
Shelly joined Four County Animal Hospital in 2003. She has four cats and three dogs in addition to four children: Brian, Brandon, Brooke and Brandi.
Tina started working at Four County Animal Hospital in 1988. She has a bevy of cats she has saved including Mister, LB, Cappy and Anne. In addition, she has three birds. Tina’s hobbies include watching her favorite Nascar drivers, Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne.
Vickie has been a member of the Four County Animal Hospital staff since 1995. She has one child, Emily, who also loves animals and is married to a veterinary technical researcher. In addition, Vickie has one dog, Suzie, and one cat, Lovie.
