Vaccinations
Vaccinations are a method of protecting your pet against infectious diseases (viruses primarily). The old adage “An ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure” certainly applies with vaccinations.
There are numerous vaccinations on the market – but not all may be appropriate for your pet. We believe in customizing the vaccine protocol depending on your pet. For instance, here in the country where lots of dogs go running through fields and streams – it is important to remember that deer ticks are in that environment – so we need to vaccinate against Lyme disease as a way of preventing a bad case of that dreaded disease.
Another example would be the cat that goes outside on a daily basis – he/she would require a Feline Leukemia vaccine as a way of preventing that dreaded/non-curable virus.
